Hi, I’m Mark Piland
You may want to know what kind of guy this pastor is. One who has been reconciled to God by his grace! Ever since I became a believer at age 19, I can’t get over the marvelous riches of the grace our God gives us. It has transformed my life.
It is a blessing to be a pastor to the people at Oak Hills Community Church. It is just incredible to me that I have the opportunity to study the Bible and teach God’s transforming truths. God has prepared me for ministry through earning degrees in Bible Exposition from both Florida Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary, a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and OJT (on-the-job training). As the Psalmist said, “Let me proclaim your power to this new generation.” (Psalm 71:18, NLT) This is my opportunity, and it brings incredible joy.
My partner in life and ministry is my wife, Debbie. A counselor by training and vocation, she complements me in many ways. We have two sons, John and Matt. Our family is rounded out by our two dogs, Shelly & Misty. |
Hi, I'm Gary Ray
I have the privilege of being the Music Minister here at Oak Hills Community Church! I can't believe I get to do this for a living! Isn't God great!
I have been married to my lovely bride Kelly since 2000. We adopted our two wonderful children, Alex and Maria, in 2003. It is a blessing from God that they are part of our family. Misha, our Shiba Inu/Golden Retriever mix, rounds out our family and is officially "the cutest dog ever" according to a random, slightly skewed poll.
My goal is to lead people in authentic corporate worship! I love to accomplish this through a blend of contemporary and traditional music, video, and the occasional dramatic presentation. I use my Bachelor's in music (Carson-Newman College) and Master's in Christian Education (Dallas Theological Seminary) to create a musically interesting and theologically accurate service so that we may all "worship Him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). |
Hi, I'm Joshua Milligan
I have the incredible privilege of being the Children's Education Director
at Oak Hills Community Church. I graduated from Oklahoma State in 2003 and
Dallas Theological Seminary in May 2009. My passion is teaching the Word of
God and seeing lives transformed as people come to know God!
In 2004 I married my wonderful wife, Kara. She is a veterinarian practicing
small animal medicine at a clinic in Burleson. Our son Caleb was born in
2009 and it's been a joy to watch him as he has grown from a newborn to a
little boy. Kara adopted Charlie, a black lab/border collie mix when she
was in vet school. He is still part of our family and provides Caleb a
constant source of entertainment!
I look forward to what God has in store for the children's ministries here
at Oak Hills. I'm excited to see what He has in store for the children's
lives as they come to know Him more!
