As you look around we hope you will get to know us and perhaps join us for worship.
Here at Oak Hills, we are interested in you. We want to include you in fulfilling our mission which is to “Glorify God by Making Disciples of all People.” Since we all have room to grow, we provide opportunities to grow in your relationship with God whether you have been a follower of Jesus for a short or a long time.
If there is anything we can do to help you grow in your relationship with God, please give us a call at 940-464-3270 or e-mail us at email@example.com. We are here to help.

Deck Them Halls, Ya’ll
Sunday, December 1st, will be our Deck Them Halls, Ya’ll, immediately following the Sundayworship service. A pizza lunch will be served. The more helpers we have, the faster and easier it goes. Please plan on helping. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.
Adult Christmas Party
We will have and adult Christmas party onSaturday, December 14, 5:00 p.m., at the Bentley’s home. More info will be coming, mark your calendars.
Would you like to volunteer once a week, once a month, whatever, to spend a couple hours one-on-one with a patient in the Special Care Unit at The Vintage; there is such a need for help. Maybe you could do a puzzle with them, walk outside in the good weather, read them a story, play checkers or a simple card game, listen to them talk about their previous life…whatever is appropriate at their level. Just one person at a time would be best; two or three would be overwhelming to some of them.
Participate in Operation Christmas Child
The Children’s Church class invites the adultSunday School classe to participate with us in a fantastic missions outreach, Operation Christmas Child. This ministry prepares gift boxes for children in third world countries. Each shoe box size gift box is filled with small gift items and a message of the gospel in the recipient’s language. Some of the children that receive these boxes have never received a Christmas present before and some have heard little or nothing of Jesus Christ. God often uses these gift boxes as an inroad for the gospel. Many churches have grown up as a direct result of Operation Christmas Child gift boxes.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
More information about this ministry is availableat samaritanspurse.org/what-we-
Gift suggestions are listed on the web site. The Children’s Church class wants to pack a number of gift box for a boys and girls. If you would like to donate gift items for the boxes, simply drop off your donations in the elementary class room adjacent to the student ministries class room. We will pack the boxes and deliver them to our local drop-off center.
Each box requires a $7 donation to cover shipping costs. Instructions for shipping donations are on the web site as well.
The deadline for delivering our boxes to our local drop-off location is Nov 25. Please deliver your donations to the elementary class room no later than Sunday morning November 24.
Restocking the Pantry
We have removed all outdated items from the church’s food pantry. It’s time to restock, so we’re asking folks to bring canned good, including canned meats, to fill it up again.
If you are interested in contributing to our Steeple Fund, please put your contribution in an envelope marked “Steeple,” or label it with a post-it note, and place it in the offering or in the box at the back of the auditorium. Your contribution is tax deductible. Thanks!
From Gary and Rose Rabe
We are bringing a woman to live with us within the next 4-6 weeks. She is 41, a Christian, and very well educated. We are in need of all types of clothing for her and a cot for her to sleep on. I do not know her sizes yet but will have them by the end of the week. Anything will be appreciated. She will need hygiene items, shoes, and probably a jacket. Gary and I will furnish all that we can, and we have been in touch with Teensy at Roanoke Food Pantry for help and also Theresa’s Resale is going to try to help. Adding additional food for her will also be a necessity we will have to address. ~Rose
